Mohamed Salah was on target for Liverpool in their Premier League encounter with Brighton this afternoon, though was unable to complete the full 90 minutes of action.
The Egyptian forward converted a penalty in the second half after Brighton were penalised for a handball in the box, presenting the Reds' talisman with the chance to slam home his 20th league goal of the campaign.
After all the talk surrounding his contract saga at the club, Salah may have been pleased to divert attention back to his contributions on the pitch.
The 29-year-old failed to see out the remainder of the contest at the Amex Stadium, though, after going down to ground with 25 minutes left to play.

Goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah secure the three points for Liverpool over Brighton.
There will be five minutes of added time.
And there’s goal No.20 of the Premier League season for Mo Salah. He batters it home from the penalty spot to put Liverpool in control here.
It was hand ball by Bissouma, no doubt to deny Keita initially.
“Two-nil to the referee!” sing the home fans.
I’m sure that’s happened before with Lallana, you know.
Yes! I just checked – he lasted 10 minutes when coming on at half-time in this fixture last season before having to go off.
A frustrating day for the ex-Liverpool man Lallana as he lasts about five minutes before pulling up injured.
Pascal Gross is on in his place.
That, sadly, was often the case during his time at Anfield.
A talented player, no doubt, but injuries have always plagued him.
Lallana is currently down injured. He’s barely been on the field for five minutes.
Physios are checking him over. Could the former Reds midfielder’s day be over already?
