Frank Lampard has issued fitness updates on Ben Godfrey and Demarai Gray ahead of Everton’s home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers
Everton manager Frank Lampard has issued fitness updates on Ben Godfrey and Demarai Gray ahead of their game at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Godfrey left Goodison Park on crutches following Lampard’s first game as Blues boss – a 4-1 victory over Brentford in the FA Cup – after suffering a hamstring injury and is yet to add to his 14 minutes of action today under Lampard.
Gray was forced off with a hip problem in the next fixture – a 3-1 defeat at Newcastle United – and since then has just had a 13-minute cameo at the end of the 1-0 loss at home to Manchester City, missing the fixtures against Boreham Wood and Tottenham Hotspur after suffering a fever.

Lampard, who confirmed the pair are now fit and available, said: “Maybe there will be a change because maybe we’ve got players back who are available who haven’t been.
“They’re big players for us. Ben Godfrey is a big player, Demarai Gray is a big player.
“I haven’t really been able to call on them but now I can and we need our big players.”
