Luis Diaz has been backed to follow in the footsteps of Mohamed Salah and become a prolific goalscorer for Liverpool.
The Reds’ newest signing has one goal to his name since completing a £49million deal from Porto in January.
Diaz’s only strike so far came in the 3-1 Premier League victory over Norwich City last month.
The 25-year-old has had several chances to add to his tally since then, including a close-range shot against Inter Milan which was blocked by Arturo Vidal.

Despite only having one goal for Liverpool under his belt so far, Diaz has been tipped to follow a similar path to Salah and Sadio Mane in terms of goalscoring.
Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes that Diaz has quickly settled into life at Liverpool, and has backed the Colombia international to find the back of the net for often.
“The goals will come for Luis Diaz, I have no doubt about that,” Robinson told Football Insider .
*Rate the Liverpool players against Inter Milan:
“He has hit the ground running and he has certainly not needed a settling in period. He’s taken his first opportunity from Klopp.
“I’m 100 per cent sure that goals will come because his performances are exceptional. He’s getting in the right areas and if that continues the goals will follow.
“I’ve been so impressed with him since he’s come to this country. He will soon start sharing the goalscoring burden with Salah, Mane and Jota.”
