Liverpool heads into the 2021-22 Premier League season coming off a campaign in which the team's depth was severely tested, and then some.
Jurgen Klopp's men seemingly suffered injury after injury in 20-21, derailing their title aspirations and threatening their Champions League hopes. A particularly ugly stretch between February and March saw the Reds lose six of seven games (all but one at home), giving rise to whispers that Klopp's job wasn't as secure as it was just weeks previous.
However, a late-season resurgence saw the club go undefeated from March 15 through to the end of the campaign, with eight wins and two draws, as Liverpool fought back into a Champions League spot and salvaged the campaign.
Now, a new season offers the promise of another potential title run — as long as the team can stay healthy.
