Leeds United’s new manager has already made his thoughts clear on the potential of Erling Haaland joining Liverpool

Leeds United have found their Marcelo Bielsa successor in the form of ex-Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig coach, Jesse Marsch.
The Whites parted company with Bielsa on Sunday after a run of poor results, prompting the door to decide a change in direction was required.
Marsch is the man who has been identified to carry on the progression of the Premier League strugglers, who will be at risk of relegation unless their form begins to improve.

His past experience has come at Red Bull clubs, having managed New York Red Bulls, Leipzig and Salzburg.
The 48-year-old American began to attract attention during his spell at Salzburg, having impressed during the 2019/20 Champions League group stages due to their exciting style of play.
At this point, Takumi Minamino, Wolves' Hwang Hee-chan and a certain Erling Haaland were leading the line for the Austrian outfit and were all on the scoresheet during a dramatic 4-3 defeat at Anfield in October 2019.
Haaland has, of course, gone on to establish himself as one of the most dangerous attackers in world football, with a number of elite clubs currently chasing his signature.

Liverpool would face strong competition if they were to move for the Norwegian, though Marsch has previously made clear that the 21-year-old would be an 'incredible fit' in the Reds' side.
Speaking to the ECHO back in May 2020, when he was still in charge of Red Bull Salzburg, the now Leeds boss said: "He is a very special talent and just when you take his speed, his explosiveness, his size, his power, his technical ability, finishing, he would immediately be in the upper echelon of players in the world.
"But then when you also consider his tactical intelligence, his motivation, his discipline, his desire to improve and grow, then the combination means you have something very unique.
"We are only scratching the surface of the potential for Erling.
"He will continue to do well at Dortmund and I’m not sure how long he’ll be there before it’s time for him to take the next step, but he has the potential to be one of the best players in the world, no doubt.
"It’s another player that Liverpool would be very lucky to have," continued Marsch.
"It won’t be cheap, but he loves the explosive style of play and being in open spaces, running in behind defences and being aggressive.
"Just by theory, it fits the way Liverpool plays. He would be an incredible fit."
Haaland is out of contract at current club Borussia Dortmund in 2024, though there is a growing expectation that he will move on this summer.
