Following their midweek Champions League tie with Lille, Chelsea are sweating over the fitness of both Mateo Kovacic and Hakim Ziyech who came off with knocks and are now fighting a race against time to be fit for Sunday’s clash.
However, Reece James (hamstring) is in line to finally return to the squad after a lengthy spell out, while Callum Hudson-Odoi (Achilles) could also be in contention following his recent absence, but Ben Chilwell (knee) remains out.
As for the Reds, Jurgen Klopp will have the majority of his squad available and has no fresh injury concerns from the midweek victory over Leeds United.
However, Diogo Jota is also facing an uphill battle to be fit in time for Sunday’s Wembley showdown after picking up an ankle injury against Inter Milan last week, while Roberto Firmino is set to miss out for a while due to a muscular injury.
