Liverpool will meet Chelsea on Sunday afternoon to determine the winners of this year's Carabao Cup.
A number of academy graduates will represent the two clubs, including Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mason Mount, Curtis Jones, Trevoh Chalobah, Caoimhin Kelleher and Ruben Loftus-Cheek to name but a few.
Reece James is another who could be included on the list. The English right-back is one of Thomas Tuchel's key players, although he's a doubt for the upcoming contest due to injury.
Despite the common ground shared between the two clubs when it comes to unearthing stars, Liverpool seem a lot more patient in their quest to polish a rough diamond from their own setup.
Jurgen Klopp has refined Alexander-Arnold's game since the Scouse defender emerged and began to redefine the role of full-back at Anfield, and Jones is hopefully set to follow a similar path, with the Reds coach appearing keen to present him with minutes on the field to shine.
Chelsea have formed a team around James and Mount in particular under Tuchel, but a countless number of future stars have left the club in recent times. They appear more willing to cut ties with players who possess bags of potential.

Victory for the Citizens leaves the Reds six points adrift, with a game in hand.
Roman Abramovich has confirmed he has handed over ‘stewardship and care’ of Chelsea to the ‘trustees of Chelsea’s charitable Foundation’.
Abramovich’s position at the club has been in question following Russia’s decision to invade Ukraine, with several senior political figures in the UK suggesting that the 55-year-old should be subject to sanctions.
Chelsea’s Russian owner, who has never conducted an interview with the Londoners’ in-house media team since taking charge of the club in 2003, has now clarified his future, seemingly in light of the current situation.
A club statement on behalf of Abramovich read: “During my nearly 20-year ownership of Chelsea FC, I have always viewed my role as a custodian of the Club, whose job it is ensuring that we are as successful as we can be today, as well as build for the future, while also playing a positive role in our communities.

During my nearly 20-year ownership of Chelsea FC, I have always viewed my role as a custodian of the Club, whose job it is ensuring that we are as successful as we can be today, as well as build for the future, while also playing a positive role in our communities.
I have always taken decisions with the Club’s best interest at heart. I remain committed to these values. That is why I am today giving trustees of Chelsea’s charitable Foundation the stewardship and care of Chelsea FC.
I believe that currently they are in the best position to look after the interests of the Club, players, staff, and fans.
Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson believes Bukayo Saka must be sold by the Gunners this summer if both parties are unable to agree a contract extension.
Saka currently has two years remaining on his current deal at the Emirates, which the club will be keen to extend given his talismanic role within the side.
The 20-year-old has scored seven goals and registered four assists in 24 Premier League appearances this season, building on his breakthrough campaign of last term in the process.
Arsenal have already tied down one of their other rising stars, Emile Smith Rowe, to a long-term contract, but Merson has worries over whether Saka will follow suit.
The England international has been linked with Liverpool among other sides as a potential transfer target, given his impressive form at club level.
"They [Smith Rowe and Saka] are top drawer and they are going to be vital to Arsenal finishing in the top four this season. But I think Arsenal should get them tied down now," Merson wrote in his Daily Star column.

Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson believes Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold are capable of casuing Chelsea major issues in tomorrow's Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
The Reds' duo have punished a number of sides with their attacking qualites on the flanks, possessing the power to deliver pinpoint crosses into the box.
Singing the praises of the Liverpool pair ahead of tomorrow's contest, Merson said: "When it comes to the threat posed by Liverpool’s full-backs, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson can wreak havoc with the quality of their deliveries.
"If Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso get pinned back, the Liverpool pair will bend crosses into the box for their front three to feed on."
Glen Johnson has named his combined Chelsea and Liverpool XI to https://www.bettingexpert.com/
“I’d probably go for Edouard Mendy in goal, but I could’ve easily picked Alisson, they’re both world class and as good as each other, so that’s an easy decision as it doesn’t matter which goalkeeper it is. Back four, I’d go for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Antonio Rudiger and Andy Robertson. I’d be quite happy to have Reece James in there, but in a final when it’s going to be tight, with Trent you’re going to get deliveries, set-pieces and free-kicks. No one is going to win this game three or four nil. Someone is going to win by one goal and sometimes you’re going to need that extra bit of magic to unlock it, so that’s probably why I’d go for Trent.
“In midfield I’d go for N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount and Fabinho. Up top I’d have Hakim Ziyech, Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz [over Sadio Mane]. Diaz clearly has confidence and he’s hit the ground running and he doesn’t look fazed at all. You want all the confidence players playing in these big games. So on this occasion I’d start Diaz over Mane. Mane is so explosive and if he comes on with 30 minutes to go, he could change the game.”
A decade ago today, Liverpool won the League Cup with a penalty shootout win over Cardiff City at Wembley.
This was the last time the Reds won a domestic cup, but they are hoping that changes tomorrow afternoon.

Roberto Firmino: "I demand a lot of myself. I always want to be contributing with goals and assists but three points is the most important thing. I think about the team first of all and then the individual things. The group comes first."

The Porto man was being watched by many clubs and Liverpool new they had to make their move.
“It's true. I spoke with Luis Diaz on the phone and we were quite far down the line to sign him from Porto," Moyes told the Mirror.
“My understanding is Liverpool were going to come in for him in the summer, and I was going to try and get him in January.
“I don't know if us trying to get him in January affected Liverpool's decision but he's a really good player.”
Jurgen Klopp has sent a message to journalists' who don't believe the boss takes the Carabao Cup seriously.
"I'm sure since we worked together you thought once or twice that I couldn't be bothered about the Carabao Cup, I know that.
“I wish you would have been once in my situation between two other games making a decision about the team for this one game and considering all the information I had from the medical department.
